January 6, 2021- Students Discuss the Attempt to Overthrow the U.S. Democracy

In "January 6, 2021 - Students Discuss the Attempt to Overthrow the U.S. Democracy," a group of American Government Debating Teens, met with their Political Science Mentors, to discuss various debating strategies. The teens were preparing to debate other schools. They met at the prestigious John Robert Lewis (JRL) University. John Robert Lewis was a Civil Rights Leader, an American politician and congressman for the 5th Congressional District in Georgia.

On January 6, 2021, around 1:00 p.m., while the teens and mentors were meeting at JLR University, a newsbreak flashed on  the T.V.'s. The newsbreak showed thousands of protesters gathering in front of the U.S. Capitol Building.

So, come along with the group of multicultural teens and their mentors, on a journey to see what happened  at the U. S. Capitol Building, on January 6, 2021, and beyond.
